20 years in Starfleet. First 14 years in admin of induction/recruiting,

Although a highly competent and reliable officer, Allnaut has consistently 
declined billets, commissions, and promotions, citing a desire to remain in 
a position where he can have plenty of time for his wife and children. 
Seen as rather an "odd egg" because of this, but his superiors are happy 
to have him as an instructor if that's what he likes doing. And it is. 
He loves his wife, his family, and his job, and takes great pride in turning 
out well-trained officers for Starship billets. He sees this a one of the 
greatest contributions anyone can make in Starfleet, and will offer scathing 
but witty commentary to anyone who thinks differently or disdains his 
"lack of ambition."
