Armstrong Lunar Base (ALB)

Training Center for ASR (Alt.StarFleet.RPG)

alt.starfleet.rpg (ASR)

Welcome to Armstrong Lunar Base, Star Fleet's training facility that prepares promising Star Fleet Academy graduates for active duty. Here, Star Fleet Navy Ensigns and Star Fleet Marine Second Lieutenants will participate in the Final Billeting Assignment Simulation (FBAS). Under the guidance of experienced instructors, these Ensigns and Second Lieutenants will find out how they react to pressure and stress, how they solve situations based on their individual training and whether they have the ability to work in a team.

This page provides basic information about ALB, and resources that will help ALB trainees succeed in their simulations -- provided they have what it takes to be a Star Fleet officer....

What is ASR?

Alt.StarFleet.RPG (or ASR) is a Usenet newsgroup on the Internet. Using email and Usenet, ASR players create an interactive fiction universe based on Star Trek: The Next Generation, extrapolated approximately 50 years after the end of the series. Players create characters and, along with other players, develop stories set around starships, starbases, and the various beings that inhabit both. ASR, founded in 1991, has grown to nearly 25 distinct role-playing units, organized into three fleets, involving over 150 players.
